Honey! (Sc)rub My Feet!

Foot scrubs and massages are oh-so-good to receive – and to give. So why not relax and de-stress this weekend with your Valentine (or kids or BFF)? You’ll end up with crazy-soft feet and in a much better mood.

Let’s start with the scrub to get rid of those dry heels and leathery feet – and prep for an amazing massage.

This scrub gets its exfoliating punch from a blend of white and brown sugars – which have the added benefit of being water soluble (so they dissolve and wash down the drain when you rinse). We added a bit of our favorite ingredient – RAW HONEY – for its amazing moisturizing, softening and “heeling” properties. Add a bit of ground cinnamon for a warming kick and some olive (or coconut) oil for even more moisturizing.

What you’ll need:

• 3 tbsp white sugar
• 3 tbsp brown sugar
• 3 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 2 tbsp olive or coconut oil

Stir the sugar and ground cinnamon together in a small bowl and mash in the honey. Finally, add the oil. Stir till combined.

To use:

Sit on the edge of the tub and scrub your feet with the mixture – really focus those rough areas. When you’re finished, rinse and pat dry. Apply a moisturizer immediately to save those soft feet – or better yet – get a foot massage! (Note: the scrub will make the bottom of your tub/shower slick – so be very careful when moving around.)

For the foot massage:

Simply use some olive or coconut oil combined with a few drops of your favorite essential oil (for scent). Sit back, relax, and take turns enjoying the massage with your “sole” mate (I couldn’t resist).
