Who doesn't love a little self-care treat that's so good you might be tempted to eat it? Mixing up your own face masks at home is not only fun but also a satisfying way to show your skin some love.
We've gathered some of our favorite DIY masks tailored to different skin types, so you can pamper yourself with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. Just blend everything together until you get a smooth, spreadable mixture, apply it to your clean skin, and let it work its magic for 20-30 minutes. Once you're done, rinse it off in the shower, and get ready to glow!
ACNE PRONE SKIN:
1 tablespoon fresh aloe gel + 1 teaspoon raw honey + ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder + ¼ teaspoon lemon juice
DEHYDRATED SKIN:
1 teaspoon ground flaxseed + 1 teaspoon hot water + ½ teaspoon raw honey + ½ teaspoon cacao powder + 2 small slices ripe banana
DULL, DRY SKIN:
1 tablespoon plain yogurt + ½ tablespoon buttermilk + ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
IRRITATED SKIN:
1 tablespoon plain yogurt + 1 teaspoon raw honey + 1 teaspoon oat flour or ground oats
OILY SKIN (USE BLENDER):
¼ cucumber with skin + 1 tablespoon fresh avocado + ½ teaspoon matcha powder
There you go - easy peasy! We'd love to hear which one(s) your tried! Enjoy!
P.S. If you're not into DIY, try an Essentially Haitos mask - most featuring raw honey, turmeric, aloe vera, lemon and botanical extracts.
